HOW KAYLA BECAME SEW FESTIVE...
IF TEN YEARS AGO YOU WOULD HAVE TOLD ME I'D BE WRITING COPY FOR AN EMBROIDERY SHOP, there is no way I would have believed you...
I NEVER EXPECTED TO BE RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW....
Most know me for my digital creations; as a wedding photographer and designer, I know my way around programs that allow me to make wonderful things on my computer. As a crafter my entire life, I have tried every conceivable art form. Pottery. Quilling. Glassblowing. Papermaking + book binding. Even the fiber arts were in my portfolio, but I've heard from so many that they didn't dare try embroidery, for the same worries I have: Pulling too tight, dropping a stitch, and oh-so-many knots.
...BUT I AM SO HAPPY I DID...
was only a matter of time before I found a way to combine both worlds, digital design and handcrafting. One day inspiration struck, and I found a way to make something magical in Adobe Illustrator that could be used for some one-of-a-kind embroidery kits that would allow every stitcher, from the beginner to the advanced, a chance to enjoy a new form of fiber art.
From there, Sew Festive Embroidery Company was born.
...AND I AM HAPPY YOU ARE HERE, TOO.
Sew Festive Embroidery Co.'s mission is to bring a new appreciation to the idea of embroidery kits by getting full of modern personality into your hands so you can create something not only functional, but just as fun to make and enjoy.
Stick around--there is so much more good to come!
FAQS ABOUT SEW FESTIVE
Yes and no. We do keep some stock ready to rock and roll (and ship), but sometimes we do have to make on demand. If it is for sale, it is in stock, and it will ship in 5-7 days!
At this point, we do not take order for custom creations. If you are interested in that service, I would recommend joining our email list at the bottom of this page. When custom order opportunities arise, the VIPs on the list are the first to shop!
Excluding tools (like scissors), each kit comes with everything you need to complete the project. This means you will receive: The wood blank, full skeins of DMC thread, needles, and felt for backing.
Not at all--in fact, some have said this is easier because the blank upon which you are stitching is solid and actually more forgiving than fabric. It is perfect for all skill levels and experience!
